ThoughtForms Control Your Life

Thoughtforms are not a new concept but it seems that people underestimate just how significant they are and how powerful they can become.

A negative thoughtform and a positive thoughtform function differently due to the nature of positive and negative energy. Rather than thinking of positive and negative energy as good energy and bad energy, it can be much more useful to look at them in terms of their mechanical function as we would when talking about electricity. Negative energy causes separation, it is segregative, isolating, and contractive.

Positive energy is expansive, inclusive, and cohesive. A negative thoughtform will be driven by negative emotions and negative emotions feel bad to us because their energy is constricting and tend to cause tension and contractions in the body. Since our body is the physical vessel for our energetic systems, we feel those energies in the body. Have you felt angry or afraid while also feeling totally physically relaxed? Of course not!

The emotions we feel are the physical interpretations of energy.
Due to the expansive and cohesive nature of positive energy, positive emotions feel good. They provide us with a sense of relief and cause tension to relax and release. They allow for our bodily functions to work more harmoniously and the mental and physical benefits of positive emotions are well documented.

A thoughtform is born when there is a sufficient concentration of energy combined with the thoughts that serve as the containers of that energy. Force (emotion) + Form(thoughts and words) = Magick. These are like semi-sentient entities with the ability to influence our reality and cause patterns to become manifest in our physical world without even needing our direct interaction. We are basically doing magick on ourselves all the time on the subconscious level.

When we are young (age 0–6) our conscious minds are not fully formed yet so we take in absolutely every detail of everything we experience and use that information to form our beliefs about reality as well as beliefs about ourselves. At this age, thoughts still occur but they are not conscious thoughts. Not all thoughtforms come from trauma, but all traumas become thoughtforms and like all sentient or semi-sentient beings, they have their own survival mechanism.

When a person experiences an event in early childhood that evokes emotions that are too powerful for their young mind to handle, we call it trauma. Trauma can occur in adulthood as well but in many cases, there is a thoughtform that leads to the manifestation of that traumatic event which is rooted in something that happened earlier in a person’s childhood (Not always, but often). Since our young minds are not equipped to understand and accept the emotionally charged situation we basically store it away for later. We store that energy somewhere in our bodies, usually somewhere near the chakra that most closely relates to the area of life the trauma involves.

The contractions caused by this negative energy restrict the flow of energy in the body and restrict blood flow to the area where it is stored. This part of the body will cease to communicate properly with the rest of the body and begin to manifest as some kind of chronic pain or illness that just never seems to go away no matter what you do.

a human being will live in loops, over and over again until they learn to make these unconscious thoughtforms conscious and learn to process them. This becomes something akin to starving the thoughtforms of the energy they need in order to sustain themselves. Since they are able to influence your reality they will create situations that mirror the emotions of the past events which created the trauma in the first place. In the same way, a digestive parasite will make its host crave the types of food that it wants, a psychic parasite/negative thoughtform will make its host want to react with the thoughts and emotions that it is most able to feed upon.

More often than not when clients tell me they think they are cursed, it is actually their own negative thoughtforms that are responsible.
Someone who grows up in a positive environment and is free of any major emotional wounds will still create their own thoughtforms/beliefs which cause them to manifest their lives in loops. They would have no reason to need to become aware of their loop because it’s generally pleasant enough to not be a problem. A person who grows up in a highly negative and abusive home will be plagued with constant misfortune and painful situations. This type of person is going to be much more inclined to learn about the spiritual nature of their reality because they will want their negative looping patterns to end. So how do we break these painful cycles and rid ourselves of these negative thought forms?

There are a few ways to approach this. One is to wait until some unpleasant event happens in your life and then notice the emotional reaction this event triggers. Then pay attention to your body and see where this emotion seems to be coming from. There will likely be a place where it radiates outward from a center point. Now comes the hard part. Hold your awareness in the middle of that ball of emotional energy and observe it while also quieting the thoughts in your mind. Watch the feelings without adding any stories or justifications to it. Just silently watch the feeling and allow it to flow through you. (litany of fear from DUNE, anyone?)

Your mind is naturally going to want to run away from you as you do this. The emotions that get repressed are repressed in the first place because of how painful they are. The mind doesn’t want to look at them. You have to have the courage to allow yourself to feel intensely negative emotions without pushing them away. Just watch them and breathe and offer them your compassion and acceptance. “Hello fear, Hello pain. I see you and you can stay as long as you want, you are valid I am ok with feeling you”. This is what it truly means to face your fears.

Acceptance is a form of positive energy, remember that positive energy is inclusive and expansive. Offering your attention with an attitude of acceptance allows the negative energy to slowly release. Negative thoughtforms hate positive energy because they can’t feed on it, it causes them to shrink, so they will begin to fight back. Have you ever heard someone say they are afraid to feel too happy because something bad always happens when they do? This is why.

The pattern that seems to come along with this process of discharging negative thoughtforms usually goes like this -

First, you meditate on the place in your body where the emotion is stored. The muscles around that area may begin to get warm or twitch or the pain could intensify at first. After doing this for a good 15- 20 minutes (or longer) you may have an immediate release or it may feel like nothing much happens at all.

If nothing happens at all, you will likely notice that later on, maybe when you wake up the next day, the negative emotion will try to take over your awareness. You may begin to feel emotionally distressed and find yourself buying into the narrative that comes along with it. This means the thoughtform is desperate for energy and you need to continue observing the emotions from that detached state of silence and acceptance. Just feel your feelings without adding all the thoughts and self-talk. Eventually, something will give and you will feel a sudden sense of relief or you may begin to cry.

The negative energy that is released has to exit the body in some way or another. Tears are the most common way but sometime it will just go for the nearest exit. You may suddenly need to use the bathroom, notice temporary acne or pimples form in spots on your skin, or feel sore as if you have been exercising or lifting weights… there are several ways your body can choose to eliminate this toxic energy. It is interesting to note that saltwater baths are a well know method of cleansing energy from the aura and tears are basically just saltwater. Salt seems to be a powerful substance for absorbing negative energy. So don’t be afraid to have a good cry if you need to, it just means you are doing it right.

Another way to consciously face your fears is through chakra meditations. Choosing one chakra and working on it for 15- 20 minutes a day, every day for 7 days is usually enough to jump-start this process without having to wait for some unpleasant event to come and trigger your emotions.
